Banyu Pinaruh 

​Banyu means Water and Pinaruh refers to Knowledge. Put together the name implies the transfer of knowledge as smooth as flowing water.

The celebration of knowledge and discernment occurs the day before, on Goddess Saraswati Day. Then in continuum, Banyu Pinaruh occurs as human beings get to receive this knowledge and discernment, a powerful tool to everyday life of human beings. Knowledge and discernment flowing like water to the lowest level.

To receive something, one must be true and humble, positioning oneself lower than the giver. Such as water, always flowing to the lowest point.

Celebrate with others, Balinese villagers flock to Griya Dauh to receive their water blessing in the morning and then sitting down together to enjoy a meal of yellow rice.

Yellow

White and yellow are the colours of egg, signifying life. White rice is consumed daily in Bali, and yellow rice is consumed on special days such as on the Banyu Pinaruh day.

Bali Water Blessing

Your day tour starts with a pick up from your accommodation, anywhere in Bali. You will be taken through a scenic route heading to Tulikup Village located in Gianyar Regency of Bali.

Upon arrival in Tulikup, you will be dropped off at the most famous temple in the village, Pura Sakti. It is a majestic ancient temple, built hundreds of years ago.

A few metres from the temple, you will reach a red brick entrance leading to Griya Dauh Tulikup, the home of the priest in service.
